The various ways to store your tie :

Rolled up:

  • Fold it in half lengthwise, place it face down on a flat surface and FINALLY carefully roll the tie towards the shovel.

Hanging:

  • Hang the tie halfway up on any suitable holder.

Keep it stretched out :

  • Use Sanseverino leather tie holders to avoid creases.

The secret is to store them so that the wrinkles have a chance to smooth out.

This usually takes about 3 days to achieve. Another good reason to have more than one favorite tie in your wardrobe!

How to clean silk ties :

  • Use dry clean for silk ties.

NB : If you use the methods described above, do so with caution and test on an invisible part of the tie first.

WARNING : Water stains and color loss are problems for a fabric like silk, especially if washed incorrectly or immersed in water for more than 5 minutes.

Avoid water spots by wiping the actual stain with a cool, damp cloth.

Always let the tie air dry without wringing it.
